If a registrant's vaccination status is not confirmed via the data exchange process, we will contact them by email with details of the information required and how to submit it. No action is required of these registrants. We anticipate the data will confirm that the overwhelming majority of certified dental assistants, dental therapists, and dentists are fully vaccinated in accordance with public health guidance. The Ministry of Health is in the process of sharing the results with CDSBC.
In accordance with the Order, CDSBC's registrant data is being matched against the Provincial Immunization Registry. Please note that separate public health orders remain in place requiring COVID-19 vaccination for health professionals working in residential care, acute care and community care settings. This Order does not impose a COVID-19 vaccination requirement. As we stated last week, a new Order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) requires the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (CDSBC) to record the COVID-19 vaccination status of all of its registrants by March 31, 2022.
